Edo-North elders, others back Oshiomhole

THE re-election bid of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State received a boost yesterday as elders and leaders of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Etsako-Central Local Council of Edo State unanimously endorsed him for a second tenure.
In a statement by Joseph Alemoh, Alhaji Waziri Oshomah and Chief M.Z. Inaboya, the leaders resolved that the governor deserved another tenure to consolidate his achievements.
The forum also pledged the total support of Etsako-Central Local Council for the realisation of the second tenure project of Oshiomhole by mobilising the entire people of the locality for the election victory come July 14, 2012.
Meanwhile, the traditional ruler of Igarra Kingdom in Akoko-Edo Local Council, Oba Adeche Saiki II, has  commended the recent palliative measures of the state government for the partial removal of subsidy from petrol.
