Kenya’s presidential candidate in the forthcoming election in the East African country, Professor George Luchiri Wajackoyah, has warned against the involvement of external interests in the current fight against the Boko Haram menace, saying such interests may have ulterior motives which may not be good for Nigeria.
The development came even as he called on former Nigerian presidents and heads of state to support President Goodluck Jonathan in his fight against insecurity in the country.
Speaking with airport correspondents at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, at the weekend, Wajackoyah lamented that Nigeria, which used to be a symbol of security and economic activities had gradually turned to a war torn country.
The Kenyan leader insisted that the only way the crisis could be resolved was for all former Nigerian leaders to come together with the governors and President Jonathan to discuss the issue and bring an end to the incessant bombings orchestrated by the Boko Haram sect.
