Agbodo Community in Egor Local Government, home town of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate,Charles Airiavbere, has said nobody in the community would vote for the PDP.
The Chairman of the community, Daniel Abu, said this yesterday when the community received the two transformers promised by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
He said: “We are overwhelmed by the governor’s humanitarian disposition.
“The promise was made last Friday, about four days ago and today, two 500 KVA transformers have been delivered.
“It is therefore very clear that a man who cannot develop his hometown despite many years in the corridors of power cannot also develop the state.
“I will like to say that today in Agbodo, it is a taboo for all sons and daughters of the community to cast their votes for any person other than the comrade governor in the July 14 election.”
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Samson Abu, who made the presentation on behalf of his boss, said from the delivery of the transformers it is evident that the governor fulfils his promises.
A youth leader, Sunday Ikponwosa, an elder, Onaiwu Osaro and the community Secretary, Bright Ogiewonyi, hailed the governor for fulfilling his promise.
“This is the first time we are seeing a governor who has fulfilled his promise.
“We want Edo people to do what they did to President Goodluck Jonathan by voting for Oshiomhole, irrespective of his party because he is a performer,” Ikponwosa said.
