The Super Eagles had a two-hour workout on Saturday morning, the first since their return from Liberia and one major guest at the training venue was immediate past handler of the team, Samson Siasia.
Siasia, had apparently come for his weekend relaxation game with the All-Stars team that usually play at the FIFA Goal Project site at weekends. It was a convivial atmosphere between the former coach, players and officials of the national team, as they exchanged banters after training and Siasia wished the team well, as the team drove back to their hotel.
But despite the visit, these are obviously tight times for the Eagles manager Stephen Keshi, as he steadies to name his final team for the game against Rwanda in Kigali, next week.
At the moment, there is tension amongst the 19 home-based professionals in camp over who will make the cut of the nine players to be selected for the Kigali battle. Keshi had last weekend named the 11 foreign based professionals for the encounter.
