Congratulatory
 messages have continued to come from around the world on Nigeria’s 
qualification for the basketball event of the London Olympics. Some of 
such messages received by the Nigeria Basketball Federation for the 
heroics of the national men’s team, D’Tigers came from FIBA Africa, the 
Brazilian Federation and Multichoice Nigeria.
The message from Africa’s basketball governing body and signed by the
 Secretary General Alphonse BilĂ© reads, “This performance is historical 
one and honours FIBA Africa and the large family of basketball in 
Africa.”
The letter from the sponsors of the Nigerian basketball league reads,
 “Multichoice Nigeria and the continental channel SuperSport recognise 
the D’Tigers success at the playoffs as no mean feat and wishes them 
successful out at the forthcoming 2012 Olympics.”
The letter was signed by the company’s Managing Director, Mr. John Ugbe.
The President of Brazil Basketball Federation Mr Carlos Nunes wrote, 
“The Brazilian Basketball Confederation express our congratulations to 
your for deserved ticket to the Olympic Games.”
