YOBO TO EURO EAGLES Get set for war

• Storms London on Sunday for Osaze, Yak, Moses • Calls dropped stars to plead for patience • Backs Keshi’s revolution
Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo has been the rallying point for invited players in Europe for the February 29 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Wasps of Rwanda in Kigali.
Disclosing this exclusively to SportingLife on telephone from Turkey on Wednesday, Yobo revealed that he had contacted all the 11 invited players to urge them to arrive in Nigeria on schedule.
Yobo stated further that he would arrive Nigeria on Monday morning through London largely because his Turkish side has an away game on Saturday and he would need to return with the team before sitting out for the trip to Abuja in the wee-hours of Saturday.
“I have also spoken to the other players who were dropped to plead for patience and understanding with the new tactician Stephen Keshi. I support the new dawn in the team and it will make all of us to sit up and give our best.
“As a player, I don’t think that there is anything called home-side or Europe-based. We are all Nigerians who play professionally to earn a living. I’m glad that the boys at home have not lost any game and it will help boost their confidence and aim to fight for shirts in the team. Keshi has turned around the orientation in camp and I believe that he can guide the Eagles to lift the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations diadem. Mark my words, this prophesy will come to pass,” he said.
