Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi
The Chairman, Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, Prof. Modupe Adelabu, has warned contractors executing projects for the agency to ensure that their jobs are done according to specifications.
According to a statement in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday, Adelabu gave this warning while inspecting some projects of the board in Ikole and Oye local government areas.
The SUBEB boss threatened that any contractor who failed to perform up to expectation would be blacklisted by the board.
Meanwhile, Governor Kayode Fayemi has approved the location of the Almajiri Model School in the State at Esun-Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of the state.
Adelabu, who made this known while inspecting the proposed site, said the decision to site the school in the town was hinged on the policy of the current administration to bring development to every part of Ekiti State.
She commended the community for donating the land on which the school would be built, saying such gesture was a proof that the people were ready to contribute to the development of the state.
Adelabu, who was also at the palace of Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Samuel Omojola, urged the people of the community to cooperate with the contractor that would handle the project to ensure its early completion.
The monarch expressed appreciation to Fayemi for locating the project in his domain, stressing the importance of the project to the socio-economic development of the community.
